Psychology of Design

PSYC 4390 - Special Topics

This is a special topics course that is all about understanding why we love some of the tools in our lives and despise others. Specifically, we will discuss the role of human psychology (memory, attention, emotion, etc.) plays in product and system design. This is a hands-on class in that you will be applying the principles we cover to your everyday interactions with things. In addition, you and a team of students will conduct a systematic evaluation of a design that involves human interaction.
